Singles
All of you are quite familiar with “speed dating”. Speed dating is actually a formalized matchmaking process or dating system to encourage people to meet a large number of new people. It was originally started to help Jewish singles meet and marry. The first speed-dating event took place at Pete’s CafĂ© in Beverly Hills in late 1998.
There are certain things that you should do and shouldn’t do when going for a speed date. In speed dating, you need to alert, watch out for the body language and try to be cool and relaxed. Below is a list of things to do’s and don’ts on a speed date. Since speed dating gives you very little time to know about your partner, some things should always be kept in mind. A polished appearance on the night of your speed dates will ensure that you make an excellent first impression and ensure that your dates are eager to get to know you better.
Just be cool and relaxed on the date. An honest, open smile will help the people you meet more comfortable. Be aware of your own nervous habits, too. Don’t tap your fingers or feet constantly – others will key in on it as either nerves or boredom. Avoid drinking too much of alcohol during the date. It will spoil your impression and you will certainly not be liked by your partner. The more honest you are during the dates the more likely you are to find a well suited match. Giving answers just because you think they are what your date wants to hear could result in the matches you find not really being your type. So enjoy your speed dating and have fun!
